Paul's Campervan

We had the most amazing time travelling the NC500 in Susan!! 🚐 Paul was so helpful from start to finish and made the whole process easy. Would definitely reccomend hiring Susan from Paul! 

Perfect from beginning to end.  The booking process was simple and Paul was on hand to answer any questions for the duration of the booking process and during our trip. The van exceeded our expectations.  It had everything we needed. It was cosy and the ideal size for touring the West Coast of Scotland and getting to those places off the beaten track.  It was also a perfect size for finding a place to park. The van made our holiday more special and we’ve got some great memories. Don’t let it’s age fool you - it’s in fantastic condition and motors smoothly. Thank you Paul for sharing your Mazda Bongo with us. We didn’t want to hand it back 😊

 The trip we had was amazing!! The campa stood up very well to the hills it encountered so no issues there :-)

Hiring Paul's Mazda Bongo was such a great decision - we had the trip of a lifetime! Well equipped and easy to drive and navigate, it is clear it is well taken care of and maintained. Paul was really helpful when we reached out to him on our trip, and lovely to hire from. We would do it all again in a heartbeat! 

Had a quality time cruising around the NC500!!

It's not too big and not too small so handles all the tiny single track roads as well as having enough space to enjoy a cosy evening in.

One of the best trips I have ever been on!

This van was absolutely perfect for the trip.  It was big enough to have everything we needed and small enough to go everywhere we wanted to go!

Pauls communication and assistance was above expectations.  He gave a very thorough handover to ensure we had everything we need before embarking and was readily available for any questions we had throughout our journey.

We had absolutely no problems with the van or service during our trip.

We spent 8 days in this camper driving the north coast 500 and the Isle of Skye and the camper was great! It has everything you need. Paul was lovely and explained everything about the camper when we picked it up, he was also available to message throughout our trip and helped us with any questions we had. Overall a great trip in this camper we loved it! Thank you Paul! 

Un van petit et maniable qui permet de rouler sur toutes les fameuses single trace roads d Écosse! Nous avons parcouru le nord des higglands pdt 15 jours et avons toujours trouvé des spots magnifiques pour la nuit.

Idéal pour nous deux.

We took the camper for 6 nights to the West Coast of Scotland on our first campervan experience. Paul was very friendly and easy to deal with throughout the whole process (before, during and at the end of the hire). He clearly keeps his camper in great condition and I would definitely recommend hiring this vehicle.

The Bongo has everything you might need and all we had to do was turn up with a bit of food and an idea of where we were headed (we brought our own bedding due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation). It was very easy to drive and simple and quick to set up at each overnight location. It has a decent navigation system too.

Paul was very friendly and very easy to communicate with around the pick up and drop off of the van and any other questions we had. Definitely a great experience! The van is fully equipped with everything you need (as opposed to bare minimum you sometimes get with professional rentals). In addition to basic kit there are some soft extra blankets, a roll of small garbage bags, some paper kitchen towels etc - you can really tell there is TLC in the van. The campervan is quite small, which can be a limitation (personally we, tall Dutchies, would not want to sleep in there with 2 other adults/kids of school age- especially since the beds inside the van are not that comfortable) but the advantage is it's easy to navigate on the small roads in the Highlands. All in all we had a great trip, Scottish Highlands are definitely worth exploring with a campervan since there are so many amazing places to make camp! 

El viaje con la furgoneta de Paul ha sido una experiencia inolvidable, que repetiríamos sin duda. No tuvimos ningún problema con ella, excepto acostrumbrarse a conducir a la izquierda, naturalmente! Las Highlands son un lugar magnífico, y la opción de visitarlas en caravana es ideal, ya que te garantiza completa libertad y autonomía.

En la furgo de Paul encontramos todo lo que se pueda necesitar: utensilios de cocina, sacos de dormir y almohadas, mapas de carreteras... y Paul siempre contestó con gran disponibilidad y rapidez a todas nuestras consultas. Queremos destacar también la disponibilidad y amabilidad del padre de Paul, que fue quien nos entregó la furgo y al que la devolvimos.

La furgoneta es pequeña, lo que por un lado es un límite, pero por otro es una ventaja, ya que en las Highlands hay algunas carreteras realmente muy estrechas. La cama del techo es la más cómoda de las dos, pero hay que tener en cuenta que si hay mucho viento no se puede utilizar y hay que dormir abajo. En nuestro caso esto sólo ocurrió una noche sobre cinco. Hay nevera, dos fogones y una pica, con agua suficiente sólo para una lavada de vajillas; sin embargo es fácil reponerla, gratis, en cualquier gasolinera o camping. El cambio es automático, lo cual facilita la conducción, ya que es imposible que se te apague el motor; pero por otro lado en las súbidas va bastante lenta. También cabe decir que consume poco, por ser una furgoneta: unos 10 litros de gasoil por cada 100 km.

Para pasar la noche en las Highlands hay muchos aparcamientos donde se puede estar gratis, en general sin lavabos, algunos ubicados en lugares muy sujestivos; y también hay muchos campings que cuestan alrededor de 20 libras por noche.

Paul accommodated us very well with the hire of his campervan. It’s was extremely comfortable and great for our trip around the west coast of scotland.

Très bien passé, véhicule conforme à l'annonce et Paul a été très bienveillant et accompagnant avec nous ! Réactif dès que nous avions une question, rassurant face à nos inquiétudes, je recommande vivement de louer l'un de ses véhicules. Super à tous points de vue !
