Rupert's Campervan

Van was perfect and Rupert was really helpful - he even got a tow bar fitted so we could take our bikes with us! 

Absolutely wonderful camper. Didn’t let us down at all. Perfect for what we wanted and had all the added extras for making our trip special. Excellent on fuel. Spacious and well looked after. Would 100% recommend and we will be back! 

We had a wonderful trip to the lake District in this lovely campervan.  The campervan was easy to drive and fully equipt with a comfortable pull out bed, fridge, kitchen and cooking facilities. The van ran off the leisure battery for the duration of the trip giving us the the freedom to travel and stop wherever we liked with no need to stop and charge. We will definitely hire this van again for future trips and would fully recommend this to other first time or seasoned campervaners. Sarah and Will

Fantastic van, fantastic owner!  Hired for a weekend in December and we had a brilliant time, the van had everything we needed! 

We had a wonderful time taking the van to Latitude Festival in the summer. The hire was really simple, Rupert was very friendly and the van was just perfect. Clean, comfortable, lovey decor, really easy to drive and fitted out with everything you could need for a trip. 

Both Rupert and Su were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. We hired the camper for 5 nights to visit the Lake District, Loch Lomand and Fort William in Scotland. We found the camper such a treat to drive that on the final night we diverted to Wales to climb Snowdon instead of staying on route back to the hosts location. The camper was perfect;  immaculatly kept, comfortable, and well equipped, it couldn't have been better. There is surprisingly plenty of room within the van with lots of hidden cupboards etc and the evening curtains/ frontal shades kept the camper nice and dark. We'd recommend hiring Ruperts camper without hesitation, it is a joy to drive and the hosts are a joy to deal with. Thank you for such a great experience and for making us catch the camper vanning bug. 

Rupert is great. Friendly, helpful and flexible. The van is very well loved, clean, good facilities, drives well. No issues at all. I would definitely recommend this can and owner.

My 2 night stay in the campervan was lovely, it's well maintained, has everything you need to cook, and to be comfortable!

I can’t recommend this campavan and its owner highly enough, from start to finish it’s been easy and a absolute pleasure. On arrival Rupert was friendly thorough and so helpful, his beautiful campa was immaculate and soooo comfy and full of top of the range equipment, it was a pleasure to drive and live on for the weekend, Dubby was so perfect for our festival weekend, can’t wait for my next trip.

Did 2500 miles around France and Switzerland. Visited Bayeux and Normandy landings, Britany, La Rochelle, South Dordogne, Nimes and Pont du Gard, Chambry, Colmar in alsace and also squeezed in a few days kayaking and mountaineering in Switzerland.

Van is easy to operate and drives like a car. Easy to park and not so high to stop one getting into most car parks.

Spacewise there is ample space. We just need to be a bit more minimalistic and don't take stuff we don't need.

We borrowed a bike rack and took bikes wirh us. This mounted on rear door. Although with bikes on this made it impossible to open rear door to connect/disconnect gas or water.

We used this rental to experience travelling with a van rather than camping or doing B&B's.

Rupert was a super host and let us pick up van a day early and deliver late back, letting us get cheap ferries.

Absolutely brilliant. We took the van on a 7 day trip on the Scotland NC500. We had a fantastic time but I recommend taking 10 days if aiming to do the same route, to allow for a travel day up to Scotland and a day for travel back again. The van was in good condition and drove really nicely. Being a short wheelbase T5, parking and turning was a breeze. The twin gas hob, fridge and sink worked well and was well complimented by the good quality cooking utensils provided by Rupert. The mattress was comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the sleeping space turned out to be as we had feared it may be too narrow and squashed feeling. The rear of the van has curtains for night time and the front windows have shades that attach by suckers. Rupert told us the set we were using were new and he wasn't sure how well they'd attach. It turned out that we had no issues at all with them and the van was dark and private inside when shut in for the night. This was the first time we have ever been camper vanning and would thoroughly recommend it and to book Rupert's lovely van.

AWESOME camper van! 

I used the van for a 2 night, 3 days stay down at the three counties showground. The drive down was pretty comfortable, the van drives really smooth. Really good to have the iPod/aux plug in to have our tunes playing.

When I picked up the van from Rupert he had already had the fridge nice and cold for us, which was brilliant given how hot it is at the moment! So we loaded it up with a few beers and bbq food. The storage itself in the van is ace, plenty of little cubby holes, and it’s well equipped in terms of cutlery, pans etc. 

On site we didn’t have hook up but the lights, fridge, cooker etc all function without this and can run off the leisure battery which is ace. 

I went away to a Crossfit competition with my team mates - most of them were camping so they were all pretty keen to have a look at the van. The blue and white colour scheme through out is really nice. It’s all very clean and seems like new. 

The best thing about using the van instead of camping was the bed and sound proofing we had at night. It’s a nice firm bed. Apparently it rained Friday evening but we didn’t hear any of it. The window covers keep the light out in the early mornings so we got a brilliant nights sleep ready for our comp the next day. 

Cooking breakfast in the van was super easy. The hobs are both quite powerful with them being gas. 

When using the van van we put nost of our bags in the front footwells and had more than enough space in the back of the van for 3 of us to eat breakfast. 

Id definitely recommend the van for a long weekend away - we thoroughly enjoyed the use of it! Even my friend being close to 6ft she didn’t feel cramped in at all. 

Couldnt have been better!

Rupert the owner bought the van over (as I live a few streets away) he went through how everything works, where everything was stored and the safety features. He was friendly, professional, relaxed and kind (there were a few treats for us in the fridge?!). 

The van is a dream. Drives beautifully, easy to live, sleep in and eat in. It was clean, stylish and fun.

I would definitely hire it again.

What a wonderful experience!!!!

From the handover at the start, we were so impressed. Rupert is a fantastic guy and made it very clear from the start that we were to treat his van as our own - he talked us though everything from the insurance to the van itself. He took the time to show us every single detail, ensuring that we could drive away confident in how to best enjoy our time and the adventure that was to follow. 

The van was immaculately presented with beautiful utensils and equipment throughout, (including several treats to enjoy once we had parked up for the day)...almost like it had been driven out of the showroom that day for us...but there's no doubt that it felt loved and that feeling was re-enforced with every button, every clunk, every last bit of detail...and it has a kicking stereo!

The feeling of freedom as we drove across country added to the complete experience and we had no shame in telling envious passers by, that this was ours ...."she's a real beaut" and "she's gorgeous" are just two of the comments that sum up what you can expect when you hire this van.

A faultless experience, highly recommended!!!!

Awesome experience I would highly recommend hiring the van from Rupert and Su. Relly cute example. Very reliable. Cosy and warm inside and very stylish. They were super flexible with our dates and accomodated us at every step.
