Welcome to the white beast. I gave it the name ’beast’ because with its 130 horsepower, there is no mountain pass that can resist it. However, if you drive calmly and do not exceed 100km/h, it can achieve a fantastic consumption of 7-8 litres per 100km. Be aware that beyond 120km/h, consumption increases quite a bit.
The van is great to drive, has air conditioning and heating and USB to charge while driving. It has a radio but I usually carry a good bluetooth speaker to listen to music while driving. The air and heating are in the cab (which is separate from the back) but it has a window that separates the cab from the living compartment that can be opened and an air motor that circulates the air to the back if you want to cool or heat the compartment while driving.
The cabin has a very comfortable 130cm bed that fits two people well and up to three people tightly together. The bed can be transformed into a table that seats up to 6 people. If you prefer to eat or sit outside, I also have two chairs and an outdoor table. The kitchen is with a gas camping case, which is very convenient. I include pot, pan and coffee machine. You can cook inside or on an outside hinge-table attached to the cabinet which is installed in a second. It has a sink with 25L of clean and 25L of grey water. It is advisable to save water as much as possible because otherwise, by washing dishes and brushing hands and teeth, it will be used up in two or three days at the most. Using hydro-alcoholic gel saves water. Anyway, with the Park4Night application it is easy to find places where you can empty the grey waters and refill the white ones easily. I include a hose with adapters for refilling. The Potti (chemical toilet) is very easy to use and it takes 5 days to empty it. On the outside there are two 18L jerry cans which are very useful to always have water to drink and also to take a shower outside. For an extra I include a battery operated electric shower head which can be charged from a 12V socket.
In terms of electricity, the van has both white lights, as well as another LED strip adjustable in intensity and colour with remote control to have a more pleasant colour during the night. It also has a fridge, which cools quite well but makes quite a lot of noise so it is advisable to turn it off at night, also because it consumes a lot. The 100 amp battery together with the solar panel gives a good performance, especially when the van is moved every day or two, as it is also charged by the alternator. However, if you keep the fridge on all day, after two or three days at the most it will start to discharge. To solve this, you can find a charging point (electric cars, campsites, etc.), where you can charge the external battery (for an extra I include a charger and extension cable) or simply leave the fridge off for a day so that the battery can be charged with the solar panel and alternator. In the passenger compartment there are USB sockets for charging as well as 12V sockets. For an extra I can also include a 220V converter in case you need to use a normal socket.
The van is quite tall but you can’t stand upright unless you are very short. That’s why I also included a small chair inside the van, which is very comfortable for doing dishes or sitting inside the van outside the bed.
The boots have plenty of storage space. For an extra I also include wedges that are very good to level the van and sleep flat, as well as home mode mosquito nets with magnets that are also very comfortable to be able to stay at night with the light on and the door open without getting full of bugs. If you are into biking, I can also include for an extra a very easy to use bike rack from Thule that sits on the tow ball.
I use the van a lot and have thought about every detail to be like a home so please take care of it a lot ❤️
