Motorways in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, including the A19 and A20, are toll-free for all vehicles, as Germany does not charge tolls for cars or standard motorhomes under 3.5 tonnes. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes must use the toll collection system on federal motorways and trunk roads. Speed limits for motorhomes up to 3.5 tonnes are generally 100 km/h on dual carriageways and 130 km/h (advisory) on motorways, while heavier vehicles are limited to 80 km/h. The A20 runs parallel to the Baltic coast and connects Lübeck to the Polish border, offering easy access to coastal towns.
