Seville's Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, took over a century to build and houses the tomb of Christopher Columbus. The city sits on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, the only major navigable river in Spain, making it a fascinating base for exploring Andalusia by road. Wander through the Real Alcázar, a UNESCO-listed palace complex blending Mudéjar, Gothic and Renaissance styles, or lose yourself in the winding lanes of the Barrio de Santa Cruz. The Plaza de España, built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, curves around a canal lined with tiled alcoves representing each Spanish province. For a change of pace, the Metropol Parasol — known locally as Las Setas — offers panoramic views from its rooftop walkway above the old quarter. Córdoba lies roughly 143 km to the north-east, while the Atlantic beaches around Cádiz are about 125 km to the south-west, both within easy reach for a day trip or a longer tour. The roads out of Seville are well suited to larger vehicles, with wide motorways connecting the city to the rest of southern Spain. Through Yescapa, you can hire a campervan or motorhome directly from a local owner in the Seville area, often at a better price than traditional hire companies. It is a peer-to-peer platform, so you benefit from personal tips and flexible pick-up arrangements that make starting your campervan adventure straightforward.
Seville enjoys warm weather from March right through to October, making it a superb destination for a road trip in a campervan or motorhome. The Feria de Abril, usually held two weeks after Easter, fills the city with flamenco, horse parades and colourful casetas. Autumn brings the Bienal de Flamenco (even-numbered years) and comfortable temperatures ideal for touring. Book your Seville hire early for spring, as it is the most popular season. Through Yescapa's peer-to-peer model, you can often find competitive rates even during busier months, with local owners offering flexible dates.

The Seville area offers a mix of urban and countryside campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Within the city you will find sites with electric hook-ups, fresh water, waste disposal and Wi-Fi. Heading into the Sierra Norte or towards the coast, rural campsites provide spacious pitches surrounded by nature, often with swimming pools and shaded terraces. Most sites around Seville have dedicated motorhome service points, showers, toilets and laundry facilities.
Parking a motorhome or campervan in Seville requires a bit of planning, as the historic centre has narrow streets and restricted-access zones. Overnight parking on public roads is permitted unless local signs state otherwise, but setting up camp (awnings, levelling jacks) is not allowed outside designated areas. Look for larger car parks on the outskirts or near transport hubs, where height barriers are less common and bus or tram links take you into the centre within minutes.
